Accommodation

Villa Lapas Rainforest resort has 60 rooms set amongst a 500 acre rain forest reserve. All rooms have private bathrooms with hot water, a/c and fan and either 2 queen size or 1 king size bed.

Food

Guests would normally stay here on a full-board basis. Food is usually served in a cafeteria style.

There is a swimming pool and dining room at the lodge.

There is a telephone and TV in all of the rooms.

Childcare

Children are welcome but there are no specific facilities in place.

A very good place to start our holiday. If we'd had the extra day we lost due to our flight being delayed it would have been a perfect length stay.

Everything worked but in need of a little TLC.

Villa Lapas was just as you described. Super location, but accommodation is in need of an upgrade. The beds and curtains are visibly dirty.

An american school group arrived at the hotel, which was noisy but ok. The breakfast was average.

I would stay there again due to location and wildlife in the grounds, but the accommodation was past its best and the food was mediocre and expensive at $22 for a buffet lunch. Overall we were happy with Villa Lapas.

Villa Lapas was fascinating, although basic.
